December goals, a check in, and a Holiday Desktop
It's December 3rd.... and this post is actually going up at the beginning of the month. Who am I and what have I done to the girl who procrastinates?! Oh that's right, I actually have a weekend at home... or at least one where I feel slightly productive. Clearly I skipped November, but can we all agree that the entire month of November was a blur? Any who, here is what is happening in December!
December Check In
I've "read" 3 books on Audible, which surprises and scares me all at the same time. I never thought I would enjoy listening to a book, but as soon as I started Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, I was kinda hooked.
I also have been focusing a lot on getting content written for this little old blog of mine. And I actually have posts scheduled! Like more than one.... okay right now I'm still at 3. I do have a few that are pending that still need some pics added to them.
I had something awesome approved at work! You will hear more about that on the 15th when I can actually send it out to my colleagues, but until then just know that I am super excited.
One of my major house sitting stints was cancelled, not from a lack of the lady trying. But sadly her fur baby went to rainbow bridge, and she no longer needed my services. So I am now spending Christmas at home... and I have to decorate my house now.
Is it sad that I already know what I'm getting for Christmas, because my family is HORRIBLE at asking too many questions that give it up? Now I just need to convince the people who are hiding it, that I need it early since I am taking holiday preorders for cheesecakes.
Goal number one is to finish up 2 courses that I bought this year. I have one that I am 1/2 way done with, but there's a lot in there about Niches, which really doesn't apply to me any more.
I need to clean up my pages and do a small re-design. If you notice, most of my images from this point on have a new little logo on them. I have a whole branding behind it that not only includes a little bit of what I love, but matches the branding of my side project.
Speaking of side projects, I am hoping to get at least 45% of it done during my breaks this month. I'm hoping to have it up and running by March 1st.
Personally I really need to make it to 5k steps a day. It's sad that this is my goal, but I have been keeping track on my Fitbit Charge HR and last week my highest day was 4519. I sit WAY too much, any suggestions?
Now I didn't want to leave you on this surprise post without a small parting gift. I have been playing in Adobe Illustrator a lot recently, creating my own desktop backgrounds. To celebrate the holiday season, I thought I would share my favorite one so far; inspired by one of my favorite holiday movies! Let me know what you think!
