Do you decorate for Christmas before or after Thanksgiving?

The true debate in the country right now…. Do you start decorating for Christmas before or after Thanksgiving? Now I am not a person who decorates often. It’s not because I don’t love to decorate….. I fucking live for that shit!

Give me a tree and I will make that thing my creative, sparkly bitch.

I normally only get to decorate once every 3 years because I’m always at someone else’s house watching their dogs. So there really is no point in decorating my house. I’ll decorate my office (well I used to) and sometimes I will put a little something up if the person I’m watching doesn’t have anything. My house stays barren and cold though, with the exception of the festive Christmas sweater that I have forced the Ghillie Monster to wear.

So here is the age old question. Do you decorate before or after Thanksgiving?

Personally, I would decorate before Halloween, but sometimes I swear that I’m part elf. Actually lets be honest… I would keep my tree up year around and decorate for the upcoming holidays. Easter tree? Yea I would support that! I tried ever year when I was a kid to make this happen. It was a no go every time folks.

Why mom, WHY???!!!

Back to the point! I had a quick chat with a few of my friends and got an overwhelming, we don’t decorate until the 23rd or 24th of December. And people call me a procrastinator. It’s not just my friends either… think about it. Every Hallmark Movie… waits until the week before or even the day before Christmas to start decorating. How do the baker and her fueding, obtainably attractive neighbor fall in love? Decorating the Christmas Tree two days before Christmas, like the true monsters they are.

So, which is it? Do you decorate before Thanksgiving? Or do you wait until Christmas?
